Weekend Wrapup!

We had no damage to the garden from the freeze Saturday night. We covered all the tender plants with sheets late Saturday night after the wind died down a bit. Nana discovered that she actually has around 50 tomato plants set out already. She actually set out a pimento, poblano, and Anaheim pepper plants this year, plus her old standby jalapeno and banana and bell peppers we sure hope they makes it. The Birds are giving us fits. We are going to try to fix something to scare them off.

I talked to Jenn Ellen on Sunday, she sounded good. She said the her and Courtney may do a shopping day this week some time.
I also talked to Ashley, she said she was better and would go see her Neurologist the first of this week.

Judy and Matt came by late on Sunday. We had a nice visit.

I watched alot of the NCAA march madness basketball games. Sure were alot of exciting games.

Everyone here are fine. Will blog at you soon........................................

THE ZONE IS ALIVE AND WELL!

IT has been a long time since I last blogged. But I am back and ready now. My recovery was long and not quite over yet, but I can see light at the end of the tunnel.

I would like to thank everyone for all that you have done for me and Nana, we do greatly appreciate it. Love to all of you.

Special thanks goes out to Jennifer for staying with me the entire time in the hospital. And to Sister and Judy for keeping me going with the changing of the wound. Ashley and Nathan for coming and taking care of me while Nana was in the hospital. You all are what made me well. Thanks again, I love you all.

Brad has been a real trooper too. He has been working out of state alot while I was recovering, and he would call all the time checking on me and Nana. He got a new truck about 2 weeks ago, he really does like it.

I have been keeping up with Hana Grace for sure. That is what I looked forward to everyday.
I would not worry about her not liking chocolate milk, she will come around sooner or later.
She has really grown and turned into quite the little toddler.

Well the Zone is getting along quite well. The new intersection at Seven Points is open now. We look like a real town now. Well maybe we will soon. The lake got really low, but we have had about 7 1/2 inches of rain the last 2 weeks, and it is getting higher every day.

We had a new restaurant called "Fudderuckers" to open up. They were only open 5 months and now they are permanently closed. Only in the Zone. lol

The wind is blowing like crazy today. Nana has her gardens going. She has 2 this year, green onions, tomatoes, potatoes, and all kinds of peppers, cantaloupes, squash, and cucumbers. The darn blue jays are picking the tops out of some of the pepper plants, that really pisses Nana off. We are not sure if we are going to have to cover the gardens tonight, it may get cold enough for them to freeze, so we will be checking the weather later.

The yards and trees are really turning green in the last few weeks. Soon it will be time for ZONE FEST again. It will be May 23, 2009 this year. Hope everyone is planning on coming this year for sure. I am looking forward to seeing everyone again.

I really have been watching alot of television too. I am hooked on American Idol, Dancing with the Stars and Hells Kitchen. And of course Jon and Kate plus eight, although their season is over now, and not sure if they will be back next season or not. They are having some martial trouble. I can understand it. Kate is such a control freak. lol

Now that I am back, I hope to blog several times a week, to keep everyone up on the news in the Zone and Cedar Creek Lake.

Thanks again for all of your support and help! Blog at you later......................
