Well we had a very long holiday weekend. This was the 4th of July in the Zone. It was great this year, although we did miss Josh Bob and Angela, and Ashley and her family. I do believe that we had the most fireworks on the lake this year than ever before. Jenn Ellen came down Thursday evening, and we started early Friday morning. Brad Boy cooked hamburgers for us all on his new grill Thursday night. They were soooooo good. I put on a brisket late that night, and it cooked all night long.
Hana Grace and her mommy and daddy came over and we got to visit with them for quite a while. Friday morning Jenn Ellen and I went to Wal mart to get some things we needed. Then we went to McDonald's for some crack coffee. Man I am so glad that we do not have a McDonald's on this side of the lake. I would be getting that crack coffee every morning. I think that I may go by Sonic and see what their iced coffee is like in the morning on the way into work. Anyway we got our fix and headed home.
When we got home we started in on the meal. Sis, Douglas, Courtney, Joe momma, Hana Grace, Mark, Glenda and even Brandon and Sonny came by. We had fresh fried squash for Joe, Joe, sure do hope he liked it. Nana made her famous potato salad and baked beans. Brad cooked 2 whole chickens on his new grill on the rotisserie, they were really good. I made a fresh cucumber, tomato onion and bell pepper salad. Sister brought lots of fresh fruit. We all had plenty to eat, then we preceded to start the games.
We played a new form of Cranium, it was fun. Then we all went out to watch the fireworks. Brad got rid of the rest of his bottle rockets, he set them all off at one time up on the hill. He
must have had at least 30 dozen of them. We had some trouble out of the dogs, since the fireworks this year were so loud. Rowdy could not hear anything he is almost deaf now, but Maggie and Lucy sure made up for it. I messed with Lucy until around 2 am then gave up on her. She hates the fireworks. Brad Boy scared her really bad the first year we had her. Hana Grace was a show in herself. She has to be the best little baby that I have ever been around. No trouble at all. I do think she will be walking by the time she is 9 months old. She is pulling up now and letting go, she is very daring. It won't be long.
Sister called Josh Bob and we all told me hello, and that we sure missed him not being here. After the fireworks were over everyone left and we set out in the garage for a while then went to bed.
Saturday we just lounged around. Courtney, Joe and Hana came by on their way back home to Frisco. Hana's aunt Victoria was coming by to see her and they all needed to get home.
Brad cooked hot dogs, and brats on the grill on Saturday, they were really good too. We ate and watched television.
Mark and Glenda took us all out on their boat Saturday evening around 7 pm, We went out on the lake and did a little fishing, caught some fish, got to see an air show they had down at the south end of the lake at the Pinnacle Club area, and got to see lots of fireworks again on the water this time. It was so much fun. Brad caught a huge fish, I think it must have been a drum it had to weigh at least 15 pounds, he did not keep it. It was the ugliest fish that I had ever seen, but it was fun watching him and Mark trying to get it into the boat. We did not get back home till after eleven that night. We had a late night snack of heated up hot dogs and chips. I had to let Lucy in my room Saturday night so she would sleep, because of the fireworks again. She was fine in my room, she just laid down and went straight to sleep.
We got up on Sunday morning and I fixed a little breakfast of scrambled eggs, hash brown, and toast. We lounged around for a little while. Jenn Ellen got all her stuff together and her and Rowdy headed home. After she left me and Nana went to Wal Mart to get a few things.
When we got home, I stared in on the laundry, I got it all done. Even my ironing, everything is done. Nana fixed us bacon sandwiches this afternoon. They were so good with her home grown tomato's. Brad and Mark and Glenda went out on the boat again this afternoon to do some fishing. They should be getting home pretty soon.
Jenn Ellen took quite a few pictures when she was here this weekend, when she gets them on the computer I will get some on the blog of the fireworks. She is really good with her camera.
Well I feel like I covered everything this weekend. If I remember anything, I will blog about it later. Till then have a nice evening everyone, from all us Zoners............................

Joe loved the squash, and I did too! It was delicious, as always! I think my absolute favorite this time was the salad, though...I'll be dreaming about that! And, of course I love the brisket every time we have it!
