What a day. Hot, Hot, Hot. Well it is another Saturday from the Zone. A very hot, sultry one. Saturday after another pay day Friday in the Zone. The creekers weren't really out alot this morning. I actually enjoyed the Saturday trek to wally world, hate to admit it but I did. I feel pretty good today too! Now that I have all my cleaning done, and laundry, and ironing accomplished I am not going to do another damn thing today.. lol
Sister came by for a little while this afternoon. We had a nice visit. Nana sure has been getting some good tomatoes out of her garden. They taste sooooo gooooood. She made some more of her chi lie sauce stuff, Brad loves it with chips, go figure. I had the best sandwich this afternoon, bread, mayo, fresh sliced tomatoes, and a slice of cheese, salt and pepper. Yummy!!!!!!!
Had a long week at work this week, was sick for a few days, but lots better now. I go back to the Dr. for a check up this next Thursday, I am hoping to get my hair cut this week too. I saw Rowdy's pictures after his cut, he still looks just like Rowdy. After all it will grow back. Jennifer must be busy this week, she is such a worker.
Today is Brandon Adams birthday. He said he wanted to wait to celebrate with everyone else in the July birthday's, he is such a zoner. Lucy has been giving me fits about letting her in the room, then barking to go back out, then back in. She is definitely a zone dog for sure. And of course Maggie is just the little barking bitch zone dog. She sure is shedding I think I have Nana talked in to having her hair all cut off right before the 4th of July. It will be alot better for her. We did it last year and she was fine with it, although she does look like a Dingo Dog according to Brad Boy.
Sure wish Nana had planted some squash plants this year. I have been craving fresh fried squash, and squash casserole. Maybe I can find someone that is selling it here around the lake. Surely some zoner planted some somewhere, Nana usually does but she said she forgot this year. She only set out 38 tomato plants, now we have them running out of our assess. I bet we set some squash out next year for sure.
I saw the neatest recipe on the Paula Dean show last night and I am going to try it. It is for peanut butter cookies, this only makes about 9 cookies:
1 cup peanut butter, smooth or crunchy
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
preheat oven the 350 degrees
grease a cookie sheet
mix all above ingredients well, roll into balls about the size of walnuts ,put on greased cookie sheet and take a fork and dip in sugar, and press each ball out with the fork. cook for about 12 minutes in the preheated oven Let cookies cool for a little while before removing. I can't wait to try them, they sound so good. I love peanut butter anyway. I will let you all know how theyturnout, or if any of you get the urge to make them let me know how they turn out.
Hope everyone has a nice cool evening.

Glad to hear you're feeling better! Those peanut butter cookies sure do sound good. I might have to try to make them. If there's one thing I can do well in the kitchen it's bake!
